You stated that Havana does nto have all inclusive hotels, when in fact there are 2 according to the Canadian travel websites.

I stayed in Havana last year and there were no all inclusive resorts there at the time. But that’s the world of travel for you – it changes all the time. Businesses come and go, change hands, change the line of products – it happens all the time. Though I highly doubt there is an all inclusive resort in Havana. Havana is a city, not a seaside vacation area. All inclusive hotels can be found on beach resort areas, not in cities.

That does make sense. The all inclusive we booked is on a marina and is a 3 star. Apparently there is another one that is across from a beach in Havana but it was only 2 star. I will post after we go to let you know how the hotel was.

OK, so they call it a hotel in Havana, but it’s not really in Havana. Havana is a capital city, there is no beach there. The nearest beach is Playa del Este which is 15km from Havana. One of the Hop-on Hop-off buses goes to Playa del Este which only takes about 25 or so minutes. While this is the beach nearest to Havana, it is not directly in Havana. I did not stay on the beach, though. There didn’t look to be that much there. Probably no fancy resorts either cause that beach may be the nearest to Havana, but definitely not the greatest in Cuba. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the crappiest in my opinion.
